Most gulal sold today is called “herbal.” But very few are made the way gulal was originally meant to be made.
Paraayan Gulal begins with a premium Arrowroot Powder base, not talc, maize, or rice flour. Arrowroot has been traditionally valued for its natural cooling effect on skin, its soft texture, and its ability to adhere gently and wash off easily without dryness.
For colour, Paraayan does not rely on synthetic pigments. Instead, each shade is created from seasonal Puranic flowers, processed using traditional extraction methods. These flowers have been used in Indian festivals for centuries, long before artificial dyes existed.
Paraayan Gulal is further enriched with Haridrika Churna and Brahmi Choorna, two revered Ayurvedic ingredients. Haridrika is known for its anti-allergic and antibacterial properties, helping protect skin during colour play.
